Seymour Doctor's Obituary
Seymour Doctor was born April 12, 1926 in Toledo, Ohio. After high school, Seymour proudly joined the U.S. Navy Sea Bees and served in the North Atlantic during World War II. He left the military to help his father run his general store in Toledo. He met his beloved wife Jean in Miami and they were married on May 10, 1953, shortly after adding two beautiful children to the family: Randall Howard and Elizabeth Lynn. After Hurricane Andrew, they moved to Eustis, FL, and established a home with Jackie the horse, Benny the bull, and many dogs and cats on a beautiful property aptly named, "Happy Farms."
Besides his family, Seymour devoted the last 20 years of his life to canine therapy, which brought him immense joy.
He is survived by Elizabeth Wilson (daughter), Wade Wilson (son-in-law), Patricia Doctor (daughter-in-law), Michael Doctor (nephew), Andrea Yoakum (niece), Timothy, Tyler, Thomas, Traci, and Mary (grandchildren).
The family will receive friends on Thursday, December 17, 2020 from 10:00AM until 11:00AM at Trinity Church, Eustis, FL. A Funeral Service will follow in the church at 11:00AM. Interment will follow at Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell, FL at 1:30PM. Arrangements have been entrusted to Steverson, Hamlin & Hilbish Funerals and Cremations, 226 E.
