I no longer live in Mount Dora, but when I visit and pass Yard Stop, I always think of Scott. Today I've been cleaning out laptop files and came across his name. I googled him and found this. He was always helpful going beyond always with his smile. He knew so much about nature. It was never the same visiting Yard Stop in Mount Dora since he left us. I bet he's taking care of God's heavenly plants up there.
My memories of Scott...
He always brought not only horticultural knowledge but an energetic, charismatic, thoughtful caring spirit to any event.
We are sorry to lose Scott's physical essence but we will remember him with every walk through our gardens.
God Bless and be with Scott's family through this difficult time.
I enjoyed his seminars on how to grow plants. The fertilizer to use on them. And how to plant a butterfly garden. I will miss his teaching us all these things. Praying for his family. The Yard Shop won't be the same without Scott. Jean
I met Scott when i moved to Tampa, we worked together and became fast friends. I will always remember you.
You will be missed
Scott was such a special man, just had a passion for plants and taught us so much. We are blessed for having known him. I have a booklet he gave us last we saw him on Florida native plants. We dedicate our bird/butterfly garden in his memory. May God bless you and keep you through these difficult days.
Scott was such a wonderful person. He cared deeply about his family and loved his job. His outgoing personality made me such a caring person.
I will always remember the smile that Scott had and his sunny disposition. So sorry he was taken so young. Love and prayers goes to his precious mother and father.
I don’t understand why you were taken away from us so soon. I literally just saw you on Friday when we did the radio show together. I told you “see you Tuesday!” as you got out of my car. We had such a fun day together on the show. I just can’t believe it.
I was honored to call you a friend. I’ll never forget the memories we shared together. From the moment I started working at Yard Stop you helped me grow into the biggest plant nerd with your vast knowledge and passion for the outdoors. I loved going on plant nursery adventures with you and driving out to do the radio show together listening to 106.7 and how you hilariously knew and sang along to all of the songs. You loved life so much. You were fascinated by God’s creation. You were always baking something. You always matched and color coordinated your shirts and visors. You were always humming a popular song but never knew the title of it. You were always practicing Spanish on Duolingo extremely loud lol. You were always drinking an energy drink. You always had a sassy comment when people were being rude which always cracked me up. You could answer ANY plant question... you were like an encyclopedia. I seriously could go on and on about you...
Although I am emotional because I lost a dear friend, I have peace because I know you are with our Jesus now. You are in His glory.
Scott Weaver, I will never stop honoring your life. Sharing these pictures brings a smile to my face.
I love you “Scotland Weaver”.
I’ll miss hearing your loud and cheery fake British accent greeting me at work in the mornings.
Love,
“Clairvoyant”
