Saundrea Rae Weaver's Obituary
Saundrea Rae Weaver was born on August 6, 1945, in the heartland of Muncie, Indiana, and departed this life on November 20, 2024, at the age of 79 in Mount Dora, Florida. Her life was a tapestry of laughter, love, and devotion, intricately woven with the golden threads of family and faith. Throughout her life, Saundrea embraced her Christian beliefs, drawing strength and resolve from her faith to guide her in caring for others and nurturing her family.
To Saundrea, her family was her crowning achievement, and her role as a mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother defined her existence. These roles, more than titles, were emblems of her nurturing spirit and boundless capacity for love. Known for her joyful laughter and ability to light up a room through dance and delight, Saundrea left an irreplaceable mark on everyone she encountered.
Her memory is cherished by her husband, Howard Weaver, with whom she shared a lifetime of love and companionship. Her granddaughter, Amanda Winslow, and great granddaughters, Mia and Zoey Shoup, who will continue the legacy of their close-knit family bonds. Her brother, Donovan Young, carries on the familial bonds and shared memories forged in their youth. Together, they celebrate the life of a woman who was preceded in death by her dear children, Natalie Shoup and Scott Weaver, and her beloved parents, Grady and Elsie Young. Despite these poignant losses, Sandy radiated strength, sharing her love freely with her extended family and friends.
A Memorial Service to honor Saundrea’s life will be held on Tuesday, November 26, 2024, at the Steverson Hamlin & Hilbish Funeral Home in Tavares, Florida. Friends and family are invited to gather from 11:00 AM
until 12:00 PM, with a service to follow at 12:00 PM in the funeral home chapel.
