Saundra Lee Kennedy's Obituary
Saundra Lee Kennedy, 78, of Mount Dora, FL, passed away peacefully in her sleep on November 29, 2025, in Leesburg, FL after a six-year battle with dementia/Alzheimer’s. She was born on June 2, 1947, in Potsdam, NY, to her parents Frederick Dishaw and Eileen (Sharlow) Dishaw.
Saundra was preceded in death by her husband, Richard Kennedy.
She is survived by her two siblings: Dale (wife, Elvira) Dishaw and Kathie (husband, Earl) Gallup, as well as her four children: Scott Kriger, Darcey (husband, Robert) Durant, Mark (wife, Sandie) Kriger and Jamie (wife, Fran) Kriger. Her pride and joy were her four grandchildren: Jessica (husband, Saiprapanch Adloor) Durant, Brianna (fiancée, Bradley Hannen) Durant, Shelby (husband, Zeke) Evans, and Mathew Kriger.
Saundra’s work career encompassed many different jobs in New York and Florida, including co-owning and operating a convenience store in New York and working delivery routes with Richard for Frito Lay and Tom’s Chips in Florida.
Some of Saundra’s biggest enjoyments in life included the Buffalo Bills, boating, trips to Las Vegas, reading, Reese’s Cups, game shows and spending time with her grandchildren.
No services are scheduled at this time and the family requests that, in lieu of any floral arrangements, donations be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.
