Saul Bruce, Jr. was born on July 20, 1954, in Port St. Joe, Florida, to Usea Lee Webb and Saul Bruce, Sr. Saul grew up in a close knit family with six siblings: Lola Webb (deceased), Dorothy Webb (deceased), Cecil Webb, James Corbett, Reco Garland, Sr., and Jerry Bruce. His family was the cornerstone of his life, and he cherished the moments spent with them.
Upon graduating high school, Saul enlisted in the United States Navy. During his service, he was able to travel to different states within the United States, and he was awarded the National Defense Service Medal, a testament to his dedication and commitment to protecting his nation. He served his country with honor and retired in 1975.
Saul was a loving father to his four children: Sonya Bruce, Roshe Hepburn (Leatha), Tanesha Farve, and Shandra Farve. He took immense pride in his children and their accomplishments, always providing them with love, guidance, and support.
As a grandfather, Saul’s love extended to his cherished grandchildren: Javontae Gibson, Jr., Jahveh Gibson, Journey Gibson, Jeremias Gibson, Aleah Hepburn, and Tray Hepburn. He found great joy in their presence and took pride in their growth and achievements.
He was a beloved son, brother, father, grandfather, and friend, whose presence brought joy and warmth to all who knew him.
Throughout his life, Saul was known for his kind heart, unwavering loyalty, and infectious smile. He had a unique ability to make everyone feel special and valued. His generosity and compassion were evident in the countless ways he supported and uplifted those around him.
Saul’s legacy is one of love, resilience, and dedication. He leaves behind a family that will forever hold his memory close to their hearts. Though he may no longer walk among us, his spirit lives on in the cherished memories and the love he shared.
