Sara Ellen Cochran's Obituary
Sara Ellen Cochran passed away peacefully at her home in Howey-in-the-Hills, FL on Thursday, November 12, 2015 at the age of 88 years. She was born in Renfrew, PA and lived in Butler her entire life prior to moving to Florida in 2005. Sara was a retired house painter and owned The Painter Sisters until her retirement. She was a member of the Meridian United Presbyterian Church where a memorial ceremony will be held in the future. Sara was also a member of the VFW Women’s Auxiliary in Butler. Sara was quite sports minded and played softball, was an avid bowler, Golfer and loved to fish. She was preceded in death in November 2000 by her husband of 42 years, Paul R. Cochran; her parents, Herbert R. and Dorothy M. Doutt and three sisters, Lois E. Laughner, Grace E. Miller and Dorothy J. Doutt. Sara is remembered and will be dearly missed by her daughter, Paula (Dale) Fischer of Howey-in-the-Hills, FL; son, David (Esther) Cochran of Butler; brother, John R. (Patricia) Doutt of Meridian; sister, Susan E. Smith of Butler; brother-in-law, Robert Laughner of Butler; grandchildren, Brandy L. (Michael, Sr.) Bartz of Allison Park, PA, Jarrod R. Gordon of Melbourne, FL, Aiden C. Fischer of Howey-in-the-Hills; Eric L. Cochran of Poland, OH; Kim Christy of Butler, Cheryl L. Gilliland of Butler and Michelle Bowman of Butler as well as 9 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Condolences may be shared at on the tribute wall.
