Sandra Lee McCormack's Obituary
Sandra Lee (Kenison) McCormack, age 62, of Mount Dora, FL passed away peacefully on Thursday, May 21, 2015. Sandy was born in Whitefield, NH on March 6, 1953 the daughter of Elliott (Pete) Kenison (deceased) and Elaine (Enman) Kenison now of Mount Dora, FL. She leaves her two sons Jason John McCormack and wife Jennifer (Hall) McCormack of Richmond, BC and Christopher Elliott McCormack and wife Jennifer (Martin) McCormack of Wasilla, AK. She leaves her grandchildren Elliott McCormack and Kaysan McCormack of Wasilla, AK. She also leaves her four brothers Jerry Kenison and Ruth Kenison of Newburgh, NY, Reginald (Reggie) Kenison and partner Theresa LaVeau of Littleton, NH, James (Jim) Kenison and wife Donna Kenison of Gorham, NH, David Kenison of Mount Dora, FL and sister Beatrice (Kenison) McQuarrie and husband Kevin McQuarrie of Gambrills, MD as well as nine nieces and nephews. She was originally from Jefferson, NH, attended Jefferson Elementary, Lancaster Middle and White Mountains Regional High School (Whitefield, NH) before graduating from the Concord Hospital School of Nursing in Concord, NH. Further she completed her Bachelor’s and Master’s in Nursing from University of Alaska Anchorage. Sandy’s 40 years of nursing included Concord Hospital (Concord, NH), Beatrice D. Weeks Hospital (Lancaster, NH), Providence Medical Center (Anchorage, AK), Veterans Administration (Anchorage, AK/ Albuquerque, NM/ Seattle, WA) and Harrison Hospital (Bremerton, WA). Her dedication to the care of others reflects her nurturing caring values. She enjoyed various crafts, quilt-making, softball, skiing, ski patrol, hiking, and horses. She took great joy in her children, grandchildren and friends. She enjoyed many adventures across the U.S. and beyond. She will be missed by all who knew her. An August memorial service is to be scheduled in Jefferson, NH. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to your local animal shelter.
