My deepest condolences to Sally's family. A fellow horse lover, Sally was a dear and generous friend in my teenage years when we lived in Far Hills, N.J. She was a great supporter and surrogate mother to whom I owe much. She will be lovingly remembered. Karen Guzman Greenwood

Dear Dave and Family, I was very saddened to read of Sally's death in The Tryon Daily Bulletin. I remember both of you when I worked at Family Physicians of Landrum. Sally was such a sweet, wonderful person and you were just the perfect couple. I always remembered you after you moved away and would always ask about you when Robert would come in. He would always tell that you both were good.
My thoughts and prayers go out to all of you. She will never be forgotten because of all the beautiful memories you have. Such a sweet,sweet person.

My deepest condolences to the Parkinson family, may you find comfort in prayer and the beautiful words of Isaiah 25:8 where God promises us that He will soon eliminate all death and suffering.
Sally and I spent many hours together riding horses and going on "adventures", as Sally called them. Sally loved to drive. We would set off in pre dawn hours (Sally was always early!) in search of the perfect horse. Many hours on the road and good conversations allowed me to know what a truly special friend I had. Sally and Dave were always so kind and generous to their friends. I will miss you, Sally. You will be in my heart forever!
I would have a weekly call with my parents, typically every Sunday at 5pm, I would call my parents. If Mom picked up we would talk for a minimum of 15 minutes and talk about her favorite topics - Golf, Dogs and what is the latest dog food she is feeding her dogs ! She loved to talk about these subjects in great length and with a passion that you just had to love ! I would try and bring up topics of interest to me - Cooking, Entertaining, What she was planning to eat that night and I'd received less the enthusiastic answers on these topics ! At the 15-20 minute mark of our conversation, I'd hear my father yell - Sal - please let me talk !! At that point, I'd say goodbye to Mom until next Sunday !
I will miss these calls but her memory will live on forever in my heart.

My heartfelt condolences to Dave and the entire family during this time of profound loss. I hold many cherished memories of Sally during her and Dave's stay in the Carolinas as she always extended herself with great kindness and a warm loving spirit. Her beautiful zest for life is a shining example of a life well-lived and well-loved. My thoughts are with you all.
