Ruth M. Streeter's Obituary
Mrs. Ruth M. Streeter, of Leesburg, FL, formerly of Clifton, IL and Goose Lake, IL, passed away on Sunday, July 17, 2011 at the age of 88 years. She was born in Clifton, Illinois on December 7, 1922 to the late Raymond and Margaret (Brock) Donovan. She married Carl E. Streeter on June 23, 1942. He passed on February 26, 1982. Ruth is remembered by her son and daughter-in-law, Richard and Peggy Streeter of Leesburg, with whom she lived; grandson, Kristopher (Sara) Streeter of Lee’s Summit, MO; granddaughter, Melissa Lane of Leesburg; four great grandsons, Jeremy (Jessica) Streeter of Umatilla, FL, Brandyn (Katie) Streeter of Huntley, IL, Ryan Lane of Leesburg and Travis Miller of Leesburg; two great great grandsons, Trent and Travis Streeter of Umatilla; special nieces, Margaret Mayo Horney of Beecher, IL and Bonnie Mayo of Tavares, FL; as well as several other nieces and nephews. Ruth kept her keen sense of humor even in her final hours, telling her family she needs to be re-upholstered. As per Ruth’s request, cremation rites have been accorded and there was a private family celebration of her life. Burial took place in the Clifton Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to Cornerstone Hospice, 2445 Lane Park Road, Tavares, FL 32778.
