"We lost our Matriarch. This is a tremendous loss for our family"
Roxie “Rock” Johnson Weaver of Leesburg, Florida passed away on February 9, 2025, at the age of 75. She was born in Blakely, Georgia to her parents Charlie and China Johnson on January 31, 1950. She moved with her family at the age of 16 to Florida. Roxie was a member of Silver Lake Community Church in Leesburg, Florida. Family was everything to Roxie. She knew the family history and made it her life's goal to keep the family together. Her family called her the human family tree. She also was incredibly faithful and trusted God with everything she did. She owned a daycare and cleaning business that allowed her to help her community as well.
She was a loving and supportive wife. A patient and loving Mother and Grandmother. A caring sister. A very trusting friend and confidant, she was our "Rock'.
Roxie is predeceased by her husband Mayo Lawrence Weaver July 21, 1994.
Roxie is survived by her children Tangela (Robert) Kenon, Mark Weaver, and Taucia (Lascells) Brown; sisters Peggy Johnson, and Helen Redding; along with 9 grandchildren, and 7 great grandchildren.
