Ron was a good friend and will be sorely missed. We shared many conversations over Friday morning 7AM breakfasts at Sunrise Grill in Tavares covering everything from personal life stories to current political events. He was a really good guy with a big heart and always had a smile on his face. I will remember those 3 years of breakfasts and Ron's friendship for many years to come. You will be missed ole friend. I have known Ron for 50 years. Over the last 5 or 6 years I came to know a different side of him that I didn’t know existed, caring, funny, quick witted & sincerely genuine and he was easy to talk to. This is such a heartbreak. Alma, Ben and family, please know that I am thankful to have had him as a friend and I am so very sorry for your loss. I pray that you will find peace in the memories you share.

Ron and I have being going to breakfast @ Sunshine Grill in Tavares every Friday @ 7a.m. for the past four years. Unless sick or on vacation, we never missed a Friday. I will surely miss him and his good friendship. God bless and comfort to the family...
One Friday evening as Sears was closing at 7PM, another couple and I were walking out and the man said "I was going to buy a mattress but not now". Our conversation started out about Sears closing so early. Then we learned we both were from Indiana. Come to find out many years ago he worked with my brother, Roger, and my x-husband in Mount Dora at a mobile home assembly place. This lead to a friendship on Facebook. I really enjoyed his post, especially on Lake County history. I will miss seeing those post. My prayers and thoughts go out to his family. Since Roger passed away in April of this year, I am sure the two of you are keeping things lively now.
