Ronald Raymond Lewis' Obituary
It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Ronald (Ron) Raymond Lewis, Sr., beloved husband, Father, Grandfather and Great-Grandfather. Ron passed away peacefully on March 15, 2023, with family and friends at his side.
Ron was born on December 4th, 1938, in Miami, Florida, where he lived and worked until his retirement. He was a hardworking and dedicated family man. Educated in the craft of Carpentry and was a life-long member of the Miami-Dade Carpenters Union from which he retired following in the footsteps of his Father Vincent Jereb.
After Graduating from Miami Edison High School, Ron joined the United States Marine Corps, (Semper Fi) where he served as an Artilleryman in several countries in the Pacific.
Ron will be deeply missed by his wife of 22 years, Marilyn, his children Catherine Lynn, (Charlie Bell), Ronald Jr., (Shelly Elaine), Mark Andrew, Amy Annette, Tina Marie, (Nick Bruce) and his Step-Daughter Amy Jean Moran as well as his many Grandchildren and Great-Grandchildren. He will also be remembered by his many friends and loving, caring neighbors. He will be remembered for his love of beautiful plants and the various birds that visited his feeders. Many of which surround his and Marilyn’s home.
A funeral service to celebrate Ron's life will be held on March 25, 2023, at 11:00 a.m. at Liberty Church, Tavares located at 2451 Dora Avenue, Tavares, FL. The family kindly requests that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to The Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson’s research.
We will always cherish the memories we have of Ron, and he will forever hold a special place in our hearts. Although there may be pain in the hearts and minds of the ones he left behind, we can be assured that he is forever at rest and suffers no longer. Ron, we thank you for the love, laughter, and inspiration you brought into our lives through the years.
