Roger Allen Quick's Obituary
Roger Quick, a longtime Stamford resident, passed away peacefully on June 11, 2026.
Born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, in 1941, Roger was the son of Howard R. Quick and Virginia Taylor Quick. As a teenager, he moved to Stamford, Connecticut, where he attended Burdick Junior High School and later graduated from Stamford High School in 1959. He earned a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Connecticut and later received his MBA from St. John’s University.
After more than 15 years in leadership roles with General Motors and Clairol, Roger pursued his entrepreneurial spirit and founded Heritage Homes, Inc.
Roger leaves behind a lasting legacy through his many contributions to residential construction and community development. Over the course of his career, he built and renovated more than 40 homes, apartments, and condominiums, leaving a meaningful impact on the Stamford community.
Roger served as President of Heritage Homes, Inc. and was formerly affiliated with Homestead Real Estate LLC. In retirement, he continued his commitment to public service, serving terms on both the City of Stamford Planning Board and the Zoning Board.
Roger is survived by his beloved wife of 61 years, Mary Ann Bella Quick; his daughter, his daughter, Kimberly Barnes and son-in-law, Lawrence Barnes; his son, Jonathan Quick and daughter-in-law, Dana Quick. Known as "Grumpy" to his grandchildren, Roger was a loving and caring grandfather to Madison, Sarah, Tyler, Cody, and Savannah. He is also survived by his sister, brother-in-law, and several nieces and nephews.
In 2022, Roger and Mary Ann relocated to Tavares, Florida, where they enjoyed their retirement years together. He will be remembered by his friends and family for his passion for cars, family genealogy and as a devoted fan of the UConn Lady Huskies.
In lieu of flowers, the family welcomes donations in Roger’s memory to the Tunnel to Towers Foundation.
