Rodney E. Ridley's Obituary
Rodney E. Ridley 69, of Grand Island passed away on November 2, 2015. He was born in Chattanooga, Tennessee and moved to Grand Island in 2001 from Casselberry, Florida. He was a Baptist and a Veteran having served in the United States Navy during the Vietnam War. Rodney was a member of V.F.W. Post 8087 of Eustis, American Legion Post 35 of Mount Dora and a Life Member of the D.A.V. Post of The Villages. He is survived by his wife Cheryl, his mother; Helen Ridley of Tavares, children; Rodney (Inga) Seifert of Snohomish, Washington, Chad (Whitney) Ridley of Lady Lake, Ryan (Kenson Bertrand) Ridley of Casselberry, Michael (Amanda) Ridley of Fruitland Park and Dennis Maughan of Oak Harbor, Washington, his siblings; Donald Ridley and Carleen Romer both of Tavares, grandchildren; Lauren Cooper, Ryan Seifert, Zoey Schau, Aubri Brakefield and Aubrey Daniels and his great grandson Ezekiel Cooper.
A memorial celebration will be held in the Steverson, Hamlin & Hilbish Chapel on Sunday, November 8th at 2 PM. Committal services with full military honors will be scheduled in Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell at a later date.
