Barry says that before he had ever met him he knew of Rob in college at Embry Riddle. Even back then he always had projects! He had a white van with "van in progress" spray painted on the side. They shared a house together in Ft. Lauderdale and found a Tripacer that they took apart and converted to a Pacer. It only took about a decade, but they actually finished it! When Rob's girlfriend, Mickey moved in she said that there were parts in the kitchen sink and the bathtub! Later, Barry's girlfriend, Carolyn, moved in as well. The 4 became fast friends. One year we flew together to Oshkosh Wisconsin to the air show and camped out! When baby Jeanne came along Barry and Carolyn had to move out! We 4 have kept in touch over the years as we have married and had children. Rob was a groomsman at our wedding. He was a friend who, no matter how long we went without connecting, we could pick up with as if no time had passed at all. Our hearts are aching trying to say goodbye to you, Rob. You will live on in our hearts and memories, and we will do what we can to help Mickey and your family with whatever is needed as they adjust to you not being here. Rest in peace, good friend.
