Bob was the most dedicated, most loyal, most caring and early on, most underrated employee I ever had at Murnane. He may have been pigeon-holed early on in his career as just a laborer... Bob was way more than a laborer. He became a foreman Superintendent, a leader and someone I knew I could put in any position and he would put everything he had into it. Bob took work home with him... worked on problems, thought about the employees, tried to figure out a better way. Bob never just showed up... he was all in... 110%. Bob had a hard exterior, but he was a man of compassion and extreme loyalty. If it was hot, Bob brought popsicles for the crew. Sounds small, but he did so many things like that. In one of my last conversations with him before he retired, I told him how much he had meant to the company, and to me. He cried, and so did I. He was a good, good man.... through and through. I'm better to have known him. Truly one of the great ones. Thank you, and rest easy, Bob.
