In loving memory Robert (Bob) J. Latshaw, Sr. May 25, 1938 - October 27, 2025 "Integrity First, Service Before Self, and Excellence in All We Do. - U.S. Air Force Motto Robert J. Latshaw, Sr. passed away peacefully on October 27, 2025, leaving behind a legacy of honor, devotion, and service. Born on May 25, 1938, Bob proudly joined the United States Air Force after graduating high school in 1955. He served with distinction during the Korean War and the Vietnam War as well as being stationed in France, Turkey, Spain and Michigan. After his military service, Bob continued to live by the same values of integrity, discipline, and loyalty. He was deeply devoted to his family, always ready with a helping hand, a good story, and a kind heart. He will be remembered for his patriotism, gentle humor, and the love he shared so freely with those around him. His life was a shining example of service -both to his nation and to the family he cherished. Bob is survived by his beloved wife of 54 years, Janet Latshaw, and their four children: Jill Weatherly, Robert J. Latshaw, Jr., Lori Engberg, and Sheila Kidd. His legacy lives on through his eight grandchildren: Jameson McEarl, Trey Cox, Nick Engberg, Blaine Engberg, Brett Engberg, Michael Kidd, Zoe Kidd and Zach Kidd. The family will receive friends on Friday, October 31, 2025 from 2:00PM until 3:00PM at Steverson Hamlin & Hilbish Funeral Home, Tavares. A memorial service with military honors will be held to celebrate Bob's life and legacy at 3:00PM in the funeral home chapel immediately following the gathering. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to a veterans' charity of your choice or Cornerstone Hospice in his memory.
