A dedicated patriot, Robert proudly served his country in the United States Air Force from 1961 to 1965, where he honed the discipline and leadership that would define his career.
Robert's greatest legacy shines brightest in the family he built and cherished. He is survived by his loving wife of many years, Sandra Hudson, the partner who stood by his side through every adventure and challenge. He leaves behind his daughter, Sharyn Hudson; son, Robert (Elizabeth) Hudson Jr.; his sister Bonita Martin and stepsons Michael (Claudia) Waite, Jim (Donna) Waite, Allen (Shamayne) Waite, Joel (Mary Jo) Waite, and Jason (Renee) Waite.
