Uncle Bob was always ready with a smile and a joke. My sister, Heather Smith-Mills and I had long hair as little girls, usually in a pony tail, and Uncle Bob delighted in sneaking up behind us and giving us a little tug on our ponytails! He was loving and generous to a fault and incredibly proud of the apple of his eye, his daughter Louise.
Uncle Bob loved the Lord and loved his family. He loved to travel and had the gift of gab! He walked into the room and commanded respect, probably without him even knowing that he did. It was his way. He was intelligent and charming and genuine. He loved animals. Especially dogs. His first love in the dog world that I was aware of --was Pomeranians and then he met and fell in love with Irish Setters.
Uncle Bob was a friend to all and fierce protector of family. He even offered at one time, after our parents divorced and we fell through the cracks, to take in my sister and I and raise us when we were teenagers. I have no doubt that he is in Heaven with his mother Margaret Ferron and his brothers and sisters and Isabelle.
