Robert A. Fowler's Obituary
Robert A. Fowler of Las Colinas in Howey-in-the-Hills, Florida passed away on Friday, October 26, 2018 at the age of 80 years. He was born in Cleveland, Ohio. Robert proudly served his country in the US Marine Corp. in Vietnam.
He retired as Vice President of Aon Corporation in Manhattan, a reinsurance company. After leaving New York, he moved to Savannah, Georgia and in 2004 relocated to Las Colinas. “Growler” as he was affectionately known by family and friends, was a member of the Lake County Bridge Club. He had also been an umpire for Little League Baseball. Robert was a connoisseur of Military History. He was also an avid Golfer.
Robert was preceded in death by his grandson, Dean Torino. He is remembered and will be dearly missed by his life partner of more than 30 years, Carol A. Brown; daughter and son-in-law, Elizabeth and Tony Marinello of East Hampton, New York; daughter and son-in-law, Cindi and Dave Ceva of Montauk, New York; step-sons, Merritt (Cheryl) Brown of Lake Peekskill, New York; Chris (Debbie) Brown of Putnam Valley, New York; brothers, Terry (Laurie) Holland of Boca Raton, Florida and Timmy (Carolyna) Holland of Grass Valley, California; sister, Barbara (Jimmy) Aliperti of Huntington, New York; grandchildren, Cooper, Cloe, Cassandra, Karianne (David) Kurtz, Kristin Brown, Shannon (Tom) Ricci, Savannah Brown, Alex (Brittany) Marinello; great grandchildren, Caleb, Miles and Logan; as well as several nieces and nephews.
