Robert A. Dagradi Sr.'s Obituary
Robert A Dagradi, 96, passed away on August 30, 2025, at Edgewater Nursing Homein Mount Dora, FL he was born on May 16, 1929 in Brooklyn, New York City to Frank and Angelina Dagradi.
Robert grew up in Brooklyn, NYC. He graduated from Haaren High School in Manhattan, New York City in 1946. After high school he attended Aircraft and Engine School in Roosevelt Field, Long Island, New York where he received an Air and Engine License. He worked for Lakehurst Naval Station in New Jersey as a Helicopter Mechanic. Robert was a Staff Sergeant in the US Air Force for 4 years. After leaving the Air Force he was a Supervisor at Fairchild-Engine Division. He then worked as Senior Technical Supervisor for 31 years at Brookhaven National Laboratory in Upton, New York. Robert retired in 1991 and moved to Leesburg, Florida and then Mount Dora, Florida in 2015.
Robert married Camelilia Boykin of Raleigh, Mississippi in Jackson, Mississippi. They
were happily married for 65+ years.
Robert was a member of the Center Moriches, New York Volunteer Fire Department for 25+ years. He enjoyed playing tennis and soft ball.
Robert is survived by; his four children; Donna Noe of N Aurora, Illinois, Robert A Dagradi Jr of Mt Dora, Florida, Rhonda and Jerry DiCunzolo of Lloyd Neck, New York and Ronald Dagradi ofCenter Moriches, New York, nine Grand Children; Chris Noe, Jessica Noe, Gerry DiCunzolo, Nicole DiCunzolo, Jonathan DiCunzolo, Kristen Radenhausen, Amanda Dagradi, Chelsea Dagradi and Emily Dagradi and seven Great Grand Children; Gerry DiCunzolo, Luca DiCunzolo, Tyler Radenhausen, Riley Radenhausen, Griffin Radenhausen Atlas Radenhausen, Jacob Noe and Hannah Parlapiano.
Robert was preceded in death by his wife Camelilia Dagradi; his parents Frank and
Angelina Dagradi and his sister Lillian Santino.
A funeral service will be held at Steverson, Hamlin and Hilbish Funeral Home, 226 E. Burleigh Blvd, Tavares, FL 32778 at 10:00AM on September 8, 2025. A visitation will be held at Steverson, Hamlin and Hilbish Chapel from 9:30AM-10:00AM on September 8, 2025. The family will be greeting friends and relatives at 9:30AM. Robert's cremated remains will be interred at Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell, Florida at a later date. In lieu of flowers the family requests memorial donations be made to Alzheimers Association at https://alz.org. Condolences may be left on Robert A.
