Robert Kevin Cordts' Obituary
Robert Kevin Cordts, 75, of Tavares, Florida, passed away peacefully on Sunday, June 14, 2026.
Born on October 14, 1950, in Kearny, New Jersey, Robert was the beloved son of Raymond and Betty Ann Cordts. He spent most of his life in New Jersey, where he built a career and created lasting friendships. In 2022, he relocated from Beaufort, South Carolina, to Tavares, Florida, where he enjoyed his later years.
Robert proudly served his country in the United States Navy during the Vietnam War. Following his military service, he dedicated his professional life as a Drafting Engineer, earning respect for his skill, precision, and strong work ethic.
Outside of his career, Robert embraced life with enthusiasm. He had a passion for riding motorcycles and found great joy on the open road. He also enjoyed spending time on the golf course and playing bocce, sharing many memorable moments with family and friends.
Robert will be remembered foremost as a devoted husband. He shared 55 wonderful years of marriage with his loving wife, Carol Ann Cordts, a testament to their enduring love and partnership.
He is also survived by his sisters, Laura Scherr of Manasquan, New Jersey, and Bonnie Hogan of Neptune, New Jersey; and his sister-in-law, Sandra Lemme of Delray Beach, Florida. He leaves behind cherished memories among his family and all who knew him.
Robert’s life was marked by dedication, service, and a genuine appreciation for the simple joys of life. He will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered.
