Robert "Bob" J. Dykeman's Obituary
Robert J. “Bob” Dykeman of Tavares, Florida passed away on Monday, January 9, 2017 at the age of 73 years in Gulfport, Mississippi. Bob was born in Poughkeepsie, New York. He married Sandra in Pleasant Plains, New York. They have been married for 46 years. He and Sandra moved to Tavares in March 1973 from Clinton Corners, New York. He retired in 2007 from the Lake County School Board after 26 years working as a paint crew leader. Bob loved NASCAR. He had an extensive collection of Hot Wheels cars and NASCAR die casts that he had been collecting since 1989. He was an animal lover and enjoyed feeding the birds and taking care of his dogs, Coconut and Lucy. Bob also enjoyed karaoke. He is remembered and will be dearly missed by his wife, Sandra and his daughter, Melissa A. Dykeman of Tavares. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Richard Snyder and Roy Snyder. Family and friends are invited to gather on Saturday, February 4 from 10 am to 11 am with a memorial ceremony starting at 11 am in the funeral home chapel.
