Rita Camille Tiemann, age 84, of Tavares passed away on Wednesday, December 18, 2013. She was born September 2, 1929 in Jacksonville, FL. She owned and operated her own beauty shop called Fountain of Beauty and was a proud descendant of Ponce de Leon. She is survived by her husband of 23 years, Ted Tiemann, Jr. of Tavares, FL; daughter, Rebecca Walker (Charles) of Jacksonville, FL; daughter-in-law, Karen Barsh of Jacksonville, FL; grandchildren, Jill Fane, William “Bill” Hill, Kathy Newman (John), and Oliver “Jack” R. Barsh, Jr.; 9 great-grandchildren; step-sons, Mike Tiemann of Tavares, FL and Rod Root of Altamonte Springs, FL; step-grandchildren, Philip Tiemann, Paul Tiemann, and Theresa Tiemann. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Walter E. Barsh, who she was married to from November 1946 until June 1990 and by a son, Oliver “Ollie” R. Barsh, Sr. Rita loved dogs; therefore, the family requests that in lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Jacksonville Humane Society, 8464 Beach Blvd, Jacksonville, FL 32216, www.jaxhumane.org. A Memorial Service will be held on Tuesday, January 7, 2013 at 11:00AM at the Deermeadows Baptist Church, 9780 Baymeadows Rd., Jacksonville, FL 32256.
