Richard Charles Minick's Obituary
Richard Charles Minick, age 90, of Leesburg, FL passed away on Sunday, April 12, 2015. He was a former resident of Kirtland, OH. He was born April 5, 1925 in Cleveland, OH, the son of Glen Orlo and Garnet Edney Minick. He grew up in Windsor, OH and graduated from Windsor High. He served in World War II for three years, discharged in April 1946. He married Dorothy Miller on June 15, 1947. He was a graduate of Hiram College and Kent State University. He retired from TRW in Cleveland in 1985 and moved to Florida in 1990. He was a member of Union Congregational Church where he was very active. He is survived by his wife; Dorothy of Leesburg, FL; sons, Rick (Laura) of North Royalton, OH, Dale (Kathleen) of Lake Lure, NC; 3 grandsons, Ross, Robert, and Ryan; and granddaughter, Victoria. A Memorial will be held later in Ohio. Memorial contributions may be made to Union Congregational Church, 302 St. Clair Abrams Ave., Tavares, FL 32778.
