Richard Allen Malsbury's Obituary
Richard Allen Malsbury of Tavares, Florida passed away on Sunday, March 14, 2021 at the age of 83 years. He was born in Champaign, Illinois. Richard proudly served his country in the US Army. He was stationed in Germany and was awarded a commendation for marksmanship. He moved to this area from Illinois in 1981. On September 30, 1983, he married Wonda and they have shared 38 wonderful years of marriage. Richard was a member of the Moose Lodge in Tavares. He enjoyed collecting guns and going to the range for target practice. He also enjoyed playing computer games and spending time with his pets. Richard worked for Lake Tech., where he programmed traffic signs on highways. He retired 20 years ago.
He was preceded in death by his parents Marshall and Ethel Malsbury and his sisters, Barb Griffin and Geraldine Carlson. Richard is remembered and will be dearly missed by his wife Wonda; sons, Allon “Brent” (Debbie) Carpenter of Romulus, Michigan and James (Faith) Carpenter of Waverly, New York; daughters, Toni (Matt) Crouch of Newnan, Georgia, Michelle Malsbury of Naples, Florida and Miranda Anderson of Largo, Florida; grandchildren, Kyle Ulmer, Braley (Scott) Carpenter, Nathan (Michele) Stevic, Austin Anderson, Michael Dunleavy, Justin (Amanda) Carpenter, Zach Carpenter, Mistie (Ryan) Wyngard, Jessica Keoshian and Brooke Keoshian; great-grandchildren, Gavin Stevic, Ada Wyngard and Blaze Carpenter; and his beloved pets, Zorro and Odie.
A memorial ceremony will be held on Friday, March 19 at 10:00 AM in the funeral home chapel. Condolences, memories and photos may be shared on the tribute wall.
