I will always remember Uncle Dick with the fondest of memories. He and Margaret were both very special people. One of my best childhood memories is when my brother and I spent a week at their house in New City with their family. New City was like staying in the country back then. He showed me my first bat (the mammal) that he found while painting his house shutters. I was really impressed. My children also remember them both as extremely loving and generous people. The kids got a card with good wishes and loving thoughts for every Holiday, no exceptions. I hope that their family finds peace in knowing their parents were wonderful people that brought happiness to all of us and that all of their children and grandchildren filled them both with tremendous pride and joy.
