Rex Menno Woodring's Obituary
Rex Menno Woodring, age 74, of Mt. Dora, FL passed away on Sunday, August 14, 2011. He was born August 5, 1937 in Fort Wayne, IN and moved to Lake County, FL in 1988 from Fort Wayne. He was a draftsman by trade, though his passion was artistically expressed through cartooning, newsletters and lake maps. He was a member of the Army Navy Club #1127, a member of the Eagles, and was an avid fisherman. He is survived by his wife, Sally of Mt. Dora, FL; sons, Kevin Woodring of Columbus, IN and Loren Woodring of Ft. Wayne, IN; daughter, Kelly Grady of Edmonton, AB; step-daughter, Tammy (Viktor) Berberi of Morris, MN; brother, Jan (Bonnie) Woodring of Eustis, FL; 5 grandchildren, Katie Schafer, Kevin Freehill, Taeya Woodring, Henry and Andelys Berberi. The family received friends at Steverson Hamlin & Hilbish Funeral Home, Tavares on Sunday, August 21, 2011 from 2:00PM until 3:00PM. A Memorial Service followed the visitation beginning at 3:00PM at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Cornerstone Hospice, 2445 Lane Park Rd., Tavares, FL 32778.
