Regina "Jeanne" Theresa Morrison's Obituary
Regina Theresa “Jeanne” Morrison of Mount Dora, Florida passed away on Thursday, October 25, 2018 at the age of 94 years. She was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. “Jeanne” proudly served in the US Navy in WWII as a nurse’s aide. Shortly after the war ended she met William R. “Bill” Morrison, US Marine Corp. at Quonset Point in Rhode Island. After a short courtship they were married in 1946 and moved to California.
They relocated to Florida in 2012 from Milford, Delaware. Jeanne has lived in Waterman Village for the last 6 years. Before her husbands passing, they loved to travel together. She also enjoyed entertaining with family and friends. Jeanne loved music and watching movies.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Colonial William R. “Bill” Morrison, after nearly 67 years of marriage. She was also predeceased by 5 brothers and sisters. Jeanne is remembered and will be dearly missed by her daughter, Sharon Pinzone of Rocky River, Ohio; daughter and son-in-law, Margaret Marie and Gary L. Foley of Tavares, Florida; son and daughter-in-law, William Robert, Jr. “Billy” and Sylvia Morrison of Corpus Christi, Texas; daughter and son-in-law, Robert G. and Julie Morrison of Albuquerque, New Mexico; and grandchildren, Mark Pinzone, Christine Leaman, Stephen Morrison, Theresa Morrison and Andrew Morrison.
Family and friends are invited to gather on Sunday, November 4 from 3:30 pm until 4:00 pm with a memorial ceremony starting at 4:00 pm in the funeral home chapel. Condolences, memories and photos may be shared on the tribute wall.
