Raymond S. Van Why's Obituary
Raymond passed way unexpectedly, Friday, August 5, 2016, of natural causes. Raymond had been suffering from heart disease and visual problems. Raymond is the son of the late Lawrence P. and Margaret Van Why. Raymond was born and raised in Long Pond, Pennsylvania. He graduated from Pocono Mt. Jointure High School in Swiftwater, PA. Shortly after his mother’s death he moved to Orlando, Florida to be near his family where he has resided for over 35 years. He worked for Walt Disney World as a sales associate. He loved interacting with the guests and making lifelong friends. His friends at the Mouse Mtn. RV Park, where he resided referred to him as “the professor”.
Raymond is survived by his children Corey P. Van Why and Darlene A. Jones. He is predeceased by siblings Melody Goins of Melbourne, Scott Van Why of Bear Creek, PA, and Larry Van Why, Mountainhome, PA. He is survived by sisters Peggy Copare (Philip), Tavares, FL, Nina Van Why, Kissimmee, FL.
A celebration of Raymond’s life will be held at the home of Philip & Peggy Copare on August 28, 2016 between 1:00 p.m. and 4:00 p.m. at the home of his sister Peggy & Philip Copare, 15240 Shady Lane, Tavares, FL 32778
