Ralph Gardner Simons' Obituary
Ralph Gardner Simons of Tavares, FL, passed away on Saturday, February 21, 2015 at the age of 81 years. Ralph was born in Detroit, Michigan to Loomis Wescott and Beulah Simons. He was the founder of Gardener-Westcott Co. in Northville, Michigan. Ralph was an entrepreneur and co-founder of several businesses. He was a member of the Motor State Street Rods in Michigan. Ralph and his wife, Beverly, moved to Tavares in 1998 from Northville. Ralph was preceded in death in July 2013 by his wife of 59 years, Beverly; his daughter, Diane Marie Panzica in 2007; brother, Kenny Simons and sisters, Barbara Havrinche and Betty Brubaker. He is remembered and will be dearly missed by his son, Richard (Eileen) Simons of Howell, MI; daughters, Debbie (Tim) Messer of South Lyon, MI, Patricia (Walter) Mullally of Garden City, MI and Mary (Tim) Werksma of Northville, MI; grandchildren, Michelle, Kerri, Alyssa, Sean, Jason, Sheena, Jennifer, Zachary and Sarah; and great grandchildren, Takeda, Savannah, Brenna, Parker, Jailynn, Damion, Kierra and Jasmine. All services will be held in Michigan under the direction of Heeney-Sundquist Funeral Home in Farmington, MI (248-474-5200). Local arrangements are entrusted to Steverson, Hamlin & Hilbish Funerals and Cremations. Condolences, memories, photos and videos may be shared on the tribute wall.
