Ralph W. Oakes' Obituary
Ralph W. Oakes of Leesburg, Florida passed away on Monday, November 18, 2013 at the age of 75 years. He was born in Cornwall, Ontario, Canada. Ralph was a proud Native American from the Mohawk tribe. He and his wife, Lucy moved to Valrico, Florida from Pennellville, New York in 2000 and then relocated to Leesburg, Florida in 2008. He retired from Chrysler Corporation after 23 years of service. Ralph was a member of the Moose in Eustis, Florida. He loved NASCAR and the Green Bay Packers. He was also a huge football fan of Syracuse and Florida State Seminoles. He is remembered and will be dearly missed by his wife, Lucy of 50 years; sons, Bruce and his wife, Irene of Pennellville and Michael of Oswego, New York; daughter, Judy of the St. Regis Reservation in New York; sister, Ida, also of St. Regis; 5 grandsons and 2 granddaughters; and 2 great granddaughters. A Memorial Mass will be held on Friday, November 22, 2013 at 3:00 pm at St. Edward’s Episcopal Church, 460 N. Grandview Street, Mount Dora.
