Phyllis Munson's Obituary
Phyllis R. Munson, 94, of Tavares, FL went to be with The Lord on Tuesday, September 19, 2017. Phyllis was born on May 13, 1923 in Manteno, IL to the late Philemon and Bernice Pement. Phyllis moved from Pennsylvania to Florida in the mid 70’s with her second husband Russell D. Rogers. Phyllis had been a lifelong member of Community of Christ Church and was a member of The Art League, of Eustis. Phyllis enjoyed oil painting and watercolors, she was a creative artist and a faithful Christian. Phyllis is predeceased by her first husband of 25 years: Robert W. Banta; and Second Husband of 20 years: Russell D. Rogers. She is survived by her loving husband of 17 years: Jay Munson; Children: Noela Banta, Robert Banta Jr., Jeff (Val) Banta, Albert (Marsha) Banta, Jack (Jeanne) Banta, R.D (Jane) Rogers, and Sharon (Husbands Name?) Estrada. Grandchildren: Eamon Banta, Carmen (John) Dreyer, Kirsten (Michael) Perkins, Eli (Suzanne) Banta, Jeff Banta, Robert W. Banta III, Travis Banta, Elijah Banta, Ashley Banta, Jack W. (Tahaki) Banta, Melissa Minter, Jakob Keller, Dawn Keller, Amber Reeves, Catin Ashley Walsh, Alisha Fulmer, and Annie Hepner; Eight Great-Grandchildren; Sister: Judy (Wayne) Rollins. and many Nieces and Nephews. Phyllis was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and friend who will be deeply missed by many. A Memorial service will be held on Saturday, September 23, 2017 at 10:30AM at Tavares Community of Christ Church, located on the corner of Dora Ave. and David Walker in Tavares, FL. The family invites you to join them after the service for a light lunch, refreshments and to share memories. Services have been entrusted to Steverson Hamlin and Hilbish Funerals and Cremations. Memories and condolences may be shared with the family on the tribute wall.
