Philip John Yoder “Phil”, 86, of Tavares, passed away peacefully on June 6, 2010. He was born in Chester, PA to the late Edgar C. Yoder and Helen Baehr Yoder. Phil was preceded in death by a brother, two sisters, and his son, John Read Obituary

Our families have crossed paths in a few ways over the years. I worked at Mosquito Control when Mr. Yoder was Director. He was a great guy--always very pleasant, kind and generous with a quick and genuine laugh. I remember him bringing pictures to work of his Navy days.Mr. Y was born between my Mom and Margaret Gebhart. Margaret and I always joked that Mr. Yoder was either the cream filling or the rose between the two.Whenever we lose a loved one, we lose a piece of our hearts, but many wonderful memories remain. He will be missed by many who will always carry him in our hearts forever. His spirit will live through all of us who were blessed to know him. He will be remembered well by many. God welcomed him home, filled him with peace, and he is resting in the arms of the angels. Betty, We are reminded that God wipes your tears, as I read in the Open Window Devotional today,Isaiah 25:8, how about the timing in all of this. We do know that Phil was a Christian man and is in the presence of the Lord. We can hold that in our hearts that one day soon we will all be with our Father in Heaven. But until then we will do a God choses for us to do here on this Earth. To the family of Phil Yoder - My family was saddened to hear of the passing of Mr. Yoder. My memories of Mr. Yoder were of him being the spray man in Tavares and the father to 3 daughters and one son. I also remember him working on radioes and t.v.'s. Mr. Yoder was very helpful to my mother, after my father passed away, doing handyman jobs around the house for her. Our thoughts and prayers are with the family during their loss.
