Pete Hernandez's Obituary
Pete Hernandez of Umatilla, FL, born Tuesday September 24,1963 in Houston Texas, passed peacefully Monday June 06, 2022.
Pete is survived by his loving wife, Lisa Hernandez, Parents whom he adored and loved with great intensity; Evaristo and HopeHernandez, Daughter Christina Cadena and Granddaughter Marissa Nicole Hernandez, Brother Robert Hernandez, who Pete held in greatest esteem, and sister-in-law who he treasured, Julie Hernandez. Cherished nieces Adriana Pullman, who resides in Chicago. Rachel Hernandez, and cherished nephew Robert "Bob" Hernandez. Cousins Steve "Vato" Coronado, Felix Rosas, and Albert Ovalle whom he loved, of Houston Texas, Many Cherished Aunts, Uncles, nieces and nephews throughout Texas and the United States.
Pete worked in the Telecommunications industry wiring many buildings in downtown Houston, including the Enron Tower. Pete furthered his career as an Electrical Technician and very skilled DC power Technician, his hard work earned him the Vice President position of Multimedia Integrated Services (MIS) and was very successful in his career.
Pete's Love for smoking BBQ went beyond the typical backyard "smoker", he participated in Smoking competitions in Texas and most recently Florida team, Pork Avenue. Pete's love for his teammates John "Pops" Mitchell, and Richard Blackstone is undaunting.
Pete loved fishing with his father, Uncles, and friends. Pete will be forever remembered for his LOVE of University of Texas baseball and especially Football, he's an avid Longhorns fan, "Hook Em Horns"!!, and Pro Teams Houston Astros and The Houston Texans.
Pete never met a stranger and when ways were parted, he gained another lifelong friend.
Pete loved a great party and hosted hundreds in his Man Cave. Pete cultivated an extended "Florida" family most importantly The Harpers Alley Family.
Pete is loved by many and will be missed tremendously.
