Funeral Arrangement for Pete:Funeral Mass will be held at St. Cecilia Church (434 Norton Road, Columbus, OH 43228) on Tuesday, October 25th at 10am. A short service at St. Joeseph Cemetery (6440 South High Street, Lockborne, OH 43137) will follow. Family will receive guests at a lunch following the grave side ceremony back at St. Cecilia Church. Pete Rush not only had a tremendous effect on all of his family, but myself as well. Pete & Barb were one of the first people in the neighborhood of laurel green when my parents decided to move in across the street in 1978, twelve years later I was born and I was lucky enough to have a wonderful youth surrounded by the yaich and rush families. Pete's Granddaughter chrissy and I celebrated many happy years together and continue are strong friendship to this day. I was lucky enough to be invited into the family and pete and barb were always there to give helpful advice and love as needed. As I grew older I can recall many conversations Pete and I had that still to this day have an impact on my life. No matter what the time or what was going on Pete and barb have continued to check in on me and my family. Just three weeks ago Pete was checking in on my Dad who had just had surgery. This kind of love and caring behavior is what I will always remember Pete for. I also will never forget his sense of humor and him constantly getting me in trouble when we would be in the living room talking about the women in the kitchen, always had to try and quiet my laughter from his jokes. However my two fondest memories of pete will always be that I was able to take him, myself, alex and eli yaich to the buckeye hall of fame cafe for the first time and we had a blast. The second and greatest memory I ever had with pete was our bachelor party we threw him at hooters for his 50th wedding anniversary. It was a wonderful time with friends and family and of course pete got all the women that night, lol. Still to this day I have the thank you letter pete wrote me for going out with him on that night and I hold it near and dear to my heart. When it comes to neighbors they dont get any better than Pete Rush. Pete I hope you and Barb know how much Ive appreciated your love and support over the years.
