Penny Lee Brown's Obituary
Penny Lee Brown, 61years old, passed away on Wednesday, February 7, 2018 at her home in Sorrento, Florida after her valiant fight with Cancer. Her strong will to live, unwavering faith in God, and the loving prayers of her family and friends carried her through 3 long grueling years of treatments but unfortunately in the end her body lost the fight. Penny was born on September 17, 1956 in Kingston, New York to Gilbert and Bernice Gray. She was one of 7 children, 5 brothers and 1 sister. Penny married her one and only true love George R. Brown in 1973 and they continued their epic love story for another 44 years together. Penny and George raised their 3 dear children, Linda, Melanie and George Jr. over the years in Kingston, New York, before moving to Sorrento, Fl. in 1990. Possessing a true servant’s heart, Penny faithfully cared for her family every day of her life selflessly. A woman of faith and the heart of the Brown family, she loved her life! She possessed a contagious smile and an entertaining sense of humor. Throughout her life she maintained a sweet and simple demeanor that won the trust and hearts of many, who even now are being changed by her witness of constant nurturing love and faith. Her signature gift of joy, shown through her constant smiling, laughter, and giving, will never be forgotten. Her surviving family members are numerous; they include: Husband of 44 years: George R. Brown; Mother of 3 children & their spouses: Linda and Bryan Brauer, Melanie and Brandon Hack, George and Jamie Brown; Grandmother to 10: Michael, Jade, Clayton, Brianna, Paxxton, Bradley, Jordan, Hudson, Lanndon and Pippynn; Great-grandmother to 1: Payton; Other family members: cousins, nieces, nephews, and God-children. Penny lived by the golden rule: Treat others the way you would want to be treated. The family is deeply grateful for the outpouring of love, prayers, and support. We will remember her as: Our Angel that lived, laughed, and loved her family unconditionally every day of her life. This is the Obituary written by, Melanie S. Hack, in honor of my dearest Mother. It is my tribute to her memory, which will be carried on in the legacy of love which is now each of us – the lives she formed and touched by her love.
