Pauline B. Carter's Obituary
Mrs. Pauline B. Carter, of Tavares, FL, passed away on Wednesday, December 28, 2011 at the age of 90 years. She was born in Ball Fork, Kentucky and moved to this area in 1984 from Kentucky. Pauline was a homemaker and a member of the First Baptist Church of Tavares. She was a published poet. She loved to write poetry and enjoyed sewing and quilting. Pauline is survived by her husband of 71 years, William; sons, Reverend Mike Carter and his wife, Judy of Coleman, Florida, Gregg Carter and his wife, Ann of Santa Fe, New Mexico and Mark Carter and his wife, Debra of Turkey Creek, Kentucky; daughters, Patricia Coleman of Tavares and Novella Lowe of Howey-in-the-Hills, Florida; brothers, Hethel Birchfield and his wife, Alice of Knoxville, Tennessee, Arville Birchfield and his wife, Betty of Lake Panasoffkee, Florida and Everett Birchfield of Williamson, West Virginia; as well as 6 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren. Friends were invited to gather for a viewing on Monday, January 2nd, 2012 from 6:00 – 8:00 pm in the funeral home chapel. A funeral ceremony was held on Tuesday, January 3rd, 2012 at 11 am in the funeral home chapel. Arrangements were entrusted to Steverson, Hamlin & Hilbish Funerals and Cremations, Tavares, FL, (352) 343-4444. Burial was held at Mountain View Memory Gardens in Huddy, Kentucky under the direction of Rogers Funeral Home (606)353-7212. Condolences may be left for the family by signing the guestbook below.
