Paul A. Blake's Obituary
Paul A. Blake, Sr, age 75, passed away on December 16th in Tavares, FL. surrounded by his loving family. He was born July 3, 1941 in McKeesport, PA. He is now in heaven with his son Paul Jr. He was also preceded in death by his father and mother, Walter and Julia Kochuba Blake, and his sister Barbara.
Paul served in the army in 1960-62 and the Air National Guard from 1962-66. He retired from USS Irwin Works, Dravosburg, PA.
He is survived by his wife Nancy, daughters Ginger(Lou) Gritzo of Wrentham, MA, daughter Christine(Karl) Pearson of Surry England, granddaughters Leah(Dan) Utech of Ft. Worth, TX, Kendra Tulley of Sacramento, California, and Jessie Gritzo of Cape Cod, MA. He is also survived by his brother Bob and many nieces and nephews.
Paul enjoyed riding motorcycle, doing woodworking, and traveling. When he retired, he and his wife took a 4 month trip out west. Paul and Nancy moved to Florida from Elizabeth, PA 2 years ago. They had been “snowbirds” for 13 years, going to Florida every year for the winter. Paul’s favorite place to be was at Carriage Pines Campground in Clarion, PA where he had a fifth wheel trailer.
Paul was cremated. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to the Salvation Army.
Services have been entrusted at Steverson Hamlin and Hilbish Funerals and Cremations. Condolences and memories may be shared with the family on the tribute wall.
