Paul Eugene Allen's Obituary
Paul E Allen, 90, formerly of New Castle, Indiana passed away on February 7, 2022 in Tavares, Florida.
He was born in Jeffersonville, KY and moved to Ohio where he graduated high school in Middletown. He married his wife Anna Katherine in 1950 just prior to enlisting in the Coast Guard during the Korean War for which he received an honorable discharge. He worked as a machine repairman for the Continental Can Company and then as a Journeyman for General Electric in Cincinnati, OH. He moved to New Castle in 1965 to work at Chrysler Corporation where he retired in 1994. After the passing of his wife he relocated to Mt. Dora, FL in 2009.
A devoted husband and father, he enjoyed boating, camping with the kids, bowling, and tinkering in the garage on his boats. He was an avid bass fisherman, lifetime Bass Master and enjoyed participating in tournaments around the state. He was a kind and caring man to everyone he met all the days of his life.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Clayton and Nora, his wife Anna “Kathy”, and siblings Mary Kindred, Herbert Allen, Jesse Allen, and Bonnie Allen.
He is survived by his children David C Allen of Valdosta GA, Deborah (Steve) Thornhill of Tavares FL and Michael (Julie) Allen of New Castle, IN; six grandchildren Mike, Amanda, Jenny, David, Suzy, and Ryan; seven great-grandchildren Katie, Luke, Delaney, Kriegan, Amelia, Emily and Anna; his sister Donna (Barney) Wilkins of Phoenix AZ, a sister-in-law Jean Allen of Aransas Pass TX; as well as many nieces, nephews and close friends.
The family will celebrate his life and the reuniting of him with his wife at a private graveside memorial service this summer.
