Patricia White's Obituary
Mrs. Patricia Rose (Hassler) White was born on December 17, 1930 in Spencer, Indiana. She passed away on October 18, 2009 in Tavares, Florida. She was born to the parents, Bernice (Rubeck) Hassler Winders and Estel Hassler. She attended Spencer High School. After many years as a homemaker, Patty was employed at Midland press in Spencer, Indiana and later at Neumode and JC Penney as a sales professional in the College Mall in Bloomington, Indiana. Patty and her husband Willie began spending winters in Tavares, Florida in 1995 while still summering at their home in Spencer, Indiana. They are members of the First Baptist Church in Spencer, Indiana and associate members of the Mid-lakes Christian Church in Tavares, Florida. Crocheting was a long time hobby for Patty and, over the years, she made hundreds of afghans for family and friends. Patty is survived by her husband of 63 years, Willie Eugene White; children, Darrell White and wife Loretta of Spencer, Indiana; Freda Hobbs and husband Don of Minneola, Florida; brother, Gene Hassler, who passed away in 2006.
