Oswaldo E. Buscarini's Obituary
Ozzie E. Buscarini died Sunday, November 14, 2010 in Tavares Florida at the age of 94 years. He was preceded in death by his wife of 64 years, Edna L. Thomas Buscarini, a native of Tallahassee.Born July, 1916 in Crystal Falls, Michigan, son of Mario and Louise Cremonesi Buscarini, he was raised in Scranton, Pennsylvania, where during the height of the Great Depression he joined the Civilian Conservation Corps in 1933. He served in the CCC for three years before returning to Scranton to work in the coal mines. In February 1941 he received his draft notice and was placed in the U.S. Army Air Corps and shipped to Dale Mabry Air Field in Tallahassee. While there he met and fell in love with a young Tallahassee girl, Edna Thomas, and upon his discharge in 1945 they were married. Returning to Scranton, he was recruited by the American Cyanamid Company of Bridgewater, New Jersey. Upon retirement in 1982, he and Edna returned to Florida, residing in Wakulla Station.He is survived by three children, Daniel of Tavares, Florida, James of Syracuse, New York, and Patricia Hubbard of Boulder Creek, California, 5 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. Also surviving are two sisters, Violet Ceccaccci, Scranton Pa. and Norma Pendell, Ridley Park, Pa. Condolences may be left for the family by signing the guestbook below!
