Mrs. Olive L. Ingram's Obituary
Olive L. Ingram, 100, born, April 4, 1919 and went to be with the Lord on November 26, 2019. Miss Olie, as she was fondly known, celebrated the end of 100 plus years of service to her community and devotion to her family and friends.
Miss Olie graduated from Tavares High School in 1936. Her career spanned many years as a Railroad Depot Agent, a Postal Service employee and a Packing House employee in Lake Jem and Howey in the Hills. In 1960 she took the job as Astatula Town Clerk. She was there for the remainder of her career. Miss Olie loved her town and knew the history of Astatula. She could answer any questions anyone may have had in regards to early years about the present residents and those that went on before her. She was an avid sports fan. Her favorite teams being the old Brooklyn Dodgers and the Florida Gators. Miss Olie also loved bowling and traveled to many places with her bowling team for state and national bowling tournaments. An icon she was and she will be greatly missed by all those with whom she knew and worked with during her life. She is survived by her nephew Franklin Reaves and his wife Sandra Reaves, her nieces Sandra Bogiel and Pam Boido, Great nephews Lance Reaves and Jimmy Boido, Great niece Julie Reaves Hoagland, Great-Great nephew Austin Reaves and his wife Jessica Reaves, Great-Great nieces Brittany Hoagland and Emily Hoagland and Great-Great-Great niece Madisyn Terry. Visitation for Miss Olie is scheduled for Monday December 2, 2019 from 11:00-12:00 at Astatula Baptist Church, 13239 Florida Ave., Astatula, Fl., her funeral services will immediately follow visitation at the church at 12:00pm with her place of rest at Astatula Cemetery. In addition to flowers donations may be made to the Astatula Building Fund or the Astatula Cemetery Fund.
