Norman Francis Nicholas' Obituary
Norman Francis Nicholas, age 83, of Mt. Dora, FL passed away on Wednesday, September 14, 2011. He was born October 1, 1927 in Huntington, WV. He retired from CSX Railroad and was a veteran of the US Army Air Corp, having served in WWII. Mr. Nicholas was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Tavares and was a lifetime member of the American Legion, Masons, Shriners, Kiwanis, Elks, and numerous other organizations. He is survived by his wife, Margaret of Mt. Dora; son, Robert VanDusen of Mt. Dora; son-in-law, David VanAspirin; brothers, Ronald Nicholas and Raymond Nicholas; several grandchildren. The family received friends at Steverson Hamlin & Hilbish Funeral Home, Tavares, on Monday, September 19, 2011 from 1:00PM until 2:00PM. A Funeral Service followed the visitation, beginning at 2:00PM at the funeral home. Interment with Military Honors were held at Lakeside Memory Gardens, Eustis. Arrangements were entrusted to Steverson, Hamlin & Hilbish Funerals and Cremations, 226 E. Burleigh Blvd., Tavares, FL 32778, (352)343-4444.
