Norma K. Theobald's Obituary
Norma Kay Bailey Theobald, 76, of Leesburg, FL went to be with The Lord on Monday May 30, 2016, at The Villages Hospice House where she passed from Cancer. Norma was born on December 2, 1939, in Orfordville, NH to the late Karl J. and Shirley (Call) Bailey. She attended school in and around Kennebunk, Maine, graduating from Kennebunk High School in 1957. She married Jack E. Theobald, July 9, 1960 in Kennebunk. They moved to Florida in 1963, living for 15 years in St. Petersburg and then later moved to Lake County in 1978. She was employed by Winn Dixie stores for many years in St. Petersburg as a Head Bookkeeper and later transferred to Lake County and was made the manager of General Merchandise. She later worked at Florida National / First Union Banks and also for many years at “The Pines”, a local greenhouse in Umatilla, where she was a Supervisor. She loved spending time with her family. She enjoyed her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Norma also enjoyed doing things for her church and friends. She was a very giving and selfless women. She loved Jesus, and no she was not perfect, but she was forgiving "She Won!". She is survived by her loving husband: Jack Theobald; Son: Chuck Theobald, and his family; Daughters: Wendy Starr Helton, and her family, Kelly Anne Harless, and her family, Rhonda Mae Kerr, and her family, Wanda Leigh Day, and her family, and Merry Christine Stephens, and her family; Twenty-eight Grandchildren; and forty-two Great-Grandchildren. Norma Kay Theobald was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and friend who will be deeply missed by many. A memorial service will be held on Saturday June 4, 2016 at 11:00AM at Whitney Baptist Church, located at 32630 Whitney Road, Leesburg, FL. A Celebration of life gathering will be held after the service at the home of her daughter Mrs. Merry Stephens.
