Nola Marie Malec's Obituary
Nola Marie Malec, age 80, of Leesburg passed away on Saturday, April 8, 2017. She was born July 11, 1936 in Hillsborough, OH to Garnet and Ralph Kidder. She was preceded in death by her husband, Walter Malec, Jr.; son, Walter Dean; sisters, Mary, Midge, Shirley, and Geneva. She is survived by her brother, Charles Kidder; daughters, Linda (Steve) Dunn, Debbie (Jim) Standall, Susan (Lon W.) Howey, Shirley Shankle (Tom); grandchildren, Andrew Lowendick, Julie M. Malec, and Dallas Standall. Nola will be remembered most for her infectious laugh, wit, tenacity, and had a special place in her heart for all children. Nola traveled the world with her family as an Air Force wife and was an excellent cook and a very determined woman. The family will receive friends on Thursday, April 13, 2017 from 4:00PM until 5:00PM at Steverson Hamlin & Hilbish Funeral Home, Tavares. A Funeral Service will follow in the funeral home chapel at 5:00PM. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, 378 CenterPointe Circle, Suite 1280, Altamonte Springs, FL 32701.
