Nancy Sharp Fox's Obituary
Nancy Claire Sharp was born April 26, 1936 in Birmingham, Alabama. The 7 th of eight children born to Fred Hall Sharp and Imogene Sandifer Murphree Sharp. She was the last survivor passing away on March 16, 2019.
She graduated from Ramsay High School in Birmingham, attended Judson College in Marion, Alabama. Transferred to Auburn University and graduated with a degree in Home Economics. She worked a year as a Home Demonstration Agent in Lafayette, Alabama then transferred to Lake County Florida in the same position, in 1958.
The courthouse custodian James Salter told Nancy there was a boy I want you to meet but he wears glasses. She married Charles E. Fox at Southside Baptist Church in Birmingham Alabama December 4th, 1959.
She then started teaching with the Lake County School Board as an Elementary School Teacher, while going back to school to earn a Master’s Degree at Rollins College. She retired from teaching in 2003.
She is survived by her husband Charles Fox and children Kerry Martin (Debra Richie), Robert Murphree, and Genta Clair (David Simpson).
She has four grandchildren, Harrison Tyler, Cameron Bailey, and Kennedy Collin Fox, and Charles Boyce Simpson.
She and Charles have been members at Adventure Christian Church since 2005.
