Myrtle Lee Higginbotham's Obituary
Myrtle Lee Higginbotham, age 95, of Altoona passed away on Wednesday, March 18, 2015. She was born August 22, 1919 in Ambrose, GA and moved to Florida in 1993. She attended Riches Beauty School in Atlanta, GA. She then went to work at Norfolk, VA Naval Shipyard as a clerk typist and later as personnel assistant for 32 years. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Tavares. She is survived by her step-son, David V. Higginbotham, III and his wife, Ann; sister, Sarah Evelyn Boggus Kennedy; many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, David V. Higginbotham. A Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, March 21, 2015 at 11:00AM at the First United Methodist Church of Tavares. Interment will follow at Tavares Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the First United Methodist Church of Tavares. Arrangements have been entrusted to Steverson, Hamlin & Hilbish Funerals and Cremations, 226 E.
