Muriel Cox Storma's Obituary
Mrs. Muriel Cox Storma of Tavares, Florida passed away on Thursday, June 21, 2012 at the age of 90 years. She was born on August 3, 1921 in Jersey City, New Jersey to Henrietta and Billy Cox. Muriel moved to Staten Island, New York as a small child. She graduated high school, attended business school and went to work as a secretary in New York City. Muriel met Edward Storma and they married on July 10, 1954. In 1957 they moved to Orlando from Baltimore. While raising her family, she was a homemaker and was involved in the PTA. She enjoyed hosting family dinners and get togethers. She moved to Tavares in 1999. Muriel loved to travel. She also enjoyed lawn bowling and was a member in Orlando and Mount Dora. She was preceded in death in 2003 by her husband, Edward, after 49 years of marriage. In 2004, Muriel founded the Baytree Red Hat Society. She is remembered by her son, William Edward Storma and his wife, Christine Ann of Orlando; daughter, Susan Muriel Storma and her husband, Robin Urich Roberts of Orlando. The family invited friends to gather for a viewing on Tuesday, June 26, 2012 from 10:00 am until 12:00 noon with a funeral ceremony starting at 12:00 noon, all in the funeral home chapel. Burial followed at Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell, FL. If you desire, flowers are being accepted or donations to Cornerstone Hospice, 2445 Lane Park Road, Tavares, FL 32778.
