Miriam Haft's Obituary
Miriam S. Haft, of Grand Island, Florida, passed away on Wednesday, July 11, 2012 at the age of 86 years. She was born in Manhattan, New York and moved to central Florida in 1982. She was Jewish and a member of the Traditional Congregation of Mount Dora. She was a member of the Eustis Moose Lodge and the American Legion. Miriam had formerly been a member of the Beth Tefillah Messianic Fellowship. The family requests those desiring, direct memorials to the Traditional Congregation of Mount Dora, 848 N. Donnelly St., Mount Dora, FL 32757. Miriam was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother and is survived by her children, Adrion Garrett “Butch” Haft and his wife, Valerie of Cincinnati, Ohio and Alyce Shelton of Grand Island, Florida; sister, Jacqueline McDonald; sister in law, Rita Weinisch of New Jersey; four grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren. Miriam was preceded in death in December of 2011 by her husband of 65 years, Robert; and her brother, Marty Weinisch. Memorial services were held at the Traditional Congregation of Mount Dora at 7:30 pm on Monday, July 16th. Final services were arranged by the Louis Suburban Chapel, Fair Lawn, New Jersey, 201-791-0015.Arrangements were entrusted to Steverson, Hamlin & Hilbish Funerals and Cremations, Tavares, FL.
